Found this -- I recommend trying it before doing the above stuff:

1. In Internet Explorer, click Internet Options on the Tools menu.
2. On the Security tab, click Trusted sites, and then click Sites.
3. Add http://xmldata.qrz.com to the zone.
4. Click Custom Level.
5. Under Miscellaneous/Access data sources across domains, click Enable.

Thanks Dennis, I tried it, but no joy.

Will try the MSXML6 tip you sent earlier.

Oops, msxml6.msi didn't work...when I tried to run it, I got this Windows Installer error: "This installation package is not supported by this processor type. Contact your product vendor."

I'm running WIN7 Ultimate on a x64 PC, AsRock motherboard with AMD Phenom I X6 1090T CPU, 6 core, 8GB RAM.

Hi Dan--

This MSXML3.DLL error is a problem with Windows. LOGic 9 wouldn't work either.

Try installing this:
http://www.microsoft.com...ad/details.aspx?id=3988

Select msxml6.msi

Look in c:\windows\syswow64 for MSXML3.DLL

Another thing to try: make sure User Account Control is off. Type UAC in the Windows search thingy.

Please type this command in tools/advanced/database commands:
x=Createobject("Microsoft.XMLHTTP")

Do you get the same error?
OLE IDispatch code 0 from msxml3.dll: Access is denied.

DH

Could not load MSXML6.MSI, says it's a CPU issue, which has me baffled.

MSXML3.DLL is indeed in c:\windows\syswow64.

UAC is off.

Inside LOGIC I went to tools/advanced/database and typed command x=Createobject("Microsoft.XMLHTTP"), and the same error still pops up.

Stumped!

Hmmm....

Make sure you are installing the non-64-bit version of MSXML6. It should install, but LOGic is 32-bit.

Try booting windows using the SAFE MODE WITH NETWORKING SUPPORT then try LOGic. It could be a virus checker or something doing you a "favor".

Tnx & 73,

Dennis

In an earlier thread with Peter I failed to post a screenshot of my Callbook setup. At present it is:

Unfortunately the web site cannot reference a file on your C: drive hihi.

Don't worry about using the image thingy. Just click the POST A REPLY button and attach it.

OK it did let me install the 32 bit version, but still get the same errors.

Tried Safe Mode with Networking...my system boots to Safe Mode but the NIC card does not load, so no internet. So can't test LOGIC under Safe Mode, at least to test this particular XML error.

The only Virus/Malware I run full time is Internet Security Essentials. I tried disabling it, but still get same XML error.

Hello,
I have the exact problem with mine; running Logic 8.104. I have tried all the ideas here to no avail. I also subscribed to QRZ.com and it just will not work. If I disable QRZ subscription the QRZ.com works sometimes; but other times it hangs. QRZ subscription will not work; I do get all the errors mention prior on this thread.
Any more ideas? PLEASE. :-)

You get this error?

-OLE IDispatch code 0 from msxml3.dll: Access is denied.

What version of Windows do you have?

Hi Dennis,

Yes I get that error and the others posted here. I have done all the things advised here, but still have the issue. It was working fine and as of a few weeks ago it started having the problems. Also, sometimes it hangs for while when looking for a call sign in QRZ, then after a few minutes it comes back with a post script msg; I click ok and I get the info. My QRZ subscription will not work, only QRZ.com half the time.

I'm running Windows 7 Pro / 32 bit.

Thanks,
Charlie NP3K

Also I disabled all the call books and just left QRZ subscription on; this is what I get.

Error 1429 "OLEIDISPATCH exception code 0 from msxml3.dll:Access is denied.
CALLBOOK_WEB_ASYNC>QRZ_WEB_SUBSCR< line 27.

Ok, I found this

http://social.msdn.micro...-help?forum=xmlandnetfx

Either method works for me on my Win7, but will implement the MSXML2.ServerXMLHTTP.6.0 in the next update.

Tnx & 73,

Dennis WN4AZY
