KENWOOD KENWOOD KENWOOD |
TS-440*, TS-450, TS-690, TS-790, TS-850, TS-950, R-5000*, and other rigs that list a Kenwood IF-232C as an option.
Buy the W1GEE LCU3-K Level Converter Cable terminated with a male 6-din plug. This plugs into a serial port. It replaces Kenwood’s IF-232C.
If your computer does not have a free RS-232 port, order our USB-RS232 adapter.
*TS-440 & R-5000 need the CHSET-1 Chipset installed in the radio. Equivalent to IC-10. This is in addition to the LCU3-K Level Converter Cable.
TS-50, TS-711, TS-811, TS-940, TS-140, TS-680 need an interface board installed inside the radio. Order the LCU3-K Cable if your rig already has this board. If it does not, order the replacement interface board (see right). |
IF-10R Interface Boards
These boards are a plug-and-play replacement for the Kenwood units. Additionally, they include a TTL-RS-232 level converter. You do not need our LCU-3K or Kenwood's IF232C.
The RS-232 connector is a 9-pin female DB-9.
TS-711, TS-811 - IF-10A board
TS-940 - IF-10B board
TS-140, TS-680 - IF-10C board
Click here to buy IF-10R boards.
If your computer does not have a free RS-232 port, order the USB-RS232 adapter.
The TS-50 requires an IF-10D interface, which we do not have, and for which we cannot find a source. Kenwood no longer makes them.
|
TS-2000, TS-870S, TS-590, TS-570, TS-480 series.
These rigs have a built-in interface and need only an inexpensive straight-thru cable with a female connector at one end, and a male at the other. Order the RS-232 Extension Cable, or one of our USB=>RS232 adapters. A USB=>RS232 adapter will plug directly into these rigs.
If your computer does not have a free RS-232 port, order the USB-RS232 adapter. |
TS-711, TS-811, TS-940, TS-140, TS-680
Buy the W1GEE LCU3-K Level Converter Cable terminated with a male 6-din plug if the radio already has a Kenwood IF-10A/B/C interface board.
