I am having an issue with LOGic communications timing out when I use MMTTY for RTTY. I get the message: "A timeout has occured while attempting to communicate with a rig..." This started a couple of updates ago. I was hoping it would get fixed. Sometimes it will not happen when operating split, it seems.

Perhaps LOGic continues to poll during RTTY transmit(?) If so, can polling be turned off during RTTY transmit? It does not happen in other modes.

Do you have MMTTY reading the rig on the same com port?

Strange, I use MMTTY and don't see any issues while LOGic is running.

Unfortunately, this does not happen all the time. I am trying to ascertain what I may be doing differently when the problem occurs and when it doesn't.

Dennis, any ideas?

As soon as it happens, look in the event Windows event viewer under Windows Logs/Application. It might give a clue. Not likely tho since it isn't an actual error in anything -- it is looking like the COM port is just not sending something, or is requesting something, the rig is responding, but the COM port isn't seeing it.

Are any non-FTDI USB COM ports involved?

How do I get to Windows Logs/Application?

Using a micro KEYER II with FTDI.
