Uses .Net framework 4.0 exclusively. You no longer need .Net 3.5/2 installed on your computer. If you get an error about .Net 4 needing to be installed, get it here:

*Fixed problem with calculated fields (CQ Field and FFMA for example) not tallying awards.

*Fixed problem with lookup of some callsign exceptions such as FR/OH2YL not being looked up when entered in the prefix table.

*Implements latest version (Dec 2) of BIG CTY file for callsign exceptions.

*Latest version of DirectX implemented (used by LOGic for sound). A problem with sound card errors fixed.

*Sound can be disabled altogether by going to the control panel and uninstalling the SlimDX library. After you do that, LOGic will error when you attempt to play a sound, but will disable sound for subsequent startups. To re-enable sound, reinstall the SlimDX library (this can be done by installing this update), then checkmarking the Sound Enabled control on the Announcements tab of the Spot Log.

  • Telnet prompt/response for auto login has been simplified. You no longer need to be concerned with what is sent after the prompt. For instance, ENTER YOUR CALL:, ENTER YOUR CALL:{space}, or ENTER YOUR CALL:{return} sent by the host can all be handled the same in LOGic by simply telling it to watch for YOUR CALL:

    How this works: When LOGic sees the string you entered, it waits .3 seconds and sends your response. It no longer waits for the host to stop transmitting before checking what was sent.

  • Fixes problem when logging 4Z/3Z9DX and similar calls. LOGic's live prefix lookup would croak when you typed 4Z/3, as it is an invalid call.

  • Latest CTY.DAT prefix exceptions from Jan 4.

  • No longer relies on browser to log into LoTW to download your data.
  • Latest CTY callsign exception list.
  • Updates now contain the whole LOGic installation. This will simplify distribution, and will potentially fix more problems with a corrupted installation. Update downloads also take longer.

    As with reinstallation from your original distribution copy of LOGic, your data and setup will not be overwritten. However, as always, keeping a backup of your LOGic install folder is recommended. Also, a new option has been added to overwrite the existing prefix table with a factory copy.

    You will still need a copy of your original installation or a copy of your license file (logic.lic) to do a complete install on a new machine.

  • Overhaul to radio interfaces. The polling/no polling option on Icom/Kenwood/Elecraft has been redone to eliminate or reduce errors on the display. The data received interrupts now run on a separate thread.

    The K3 interface in particular should be a lot better. Many thanks to WA4PGM and his hospitality and use of his K3 for this. I have made some changes since I was with Kyle, so if there is any problem, I will be watching the forum today and tomorrow and can fix any errors that occur. If you need to roll back to .84, simply installing the .84 update should put you back where you were.

    Try polling and not polling.

    I fixed an error on the OmniRig interface -- variable OLD_CurVFO not found.

  • DX Summit support is back. It is no longer browser-dependent.

    Do not set the Interval too long. The new default is 1 minute, and I have been running 0.3 minutes here. It will always download 25 spots initially, then fewer at subsequent intervals. If it downloads 25 spots after the initial download, please decrease the Interval.
