I'm trying to insert the current UTC as part of one of the terminal keys in the Expression Builder.

I can insert current local time, QSO time (on/off) but cannot seem to get UTC.

Was also trying to insert my QTH from LOGic setup. Could not find that variable so I hard coded it. (Not possible for current UTC.)

Thanks and 73s,
Don, W2ZI

Sorry I didn't see this.

The expression you need is

global.utc_time

It returns a 6-character string.

global.utc_date

returns the current date as type date

Tnx & 73,

Dennis,
Only had partial success.
Both variables work in the Database Commands window:
? MDY(global.utc_date)
and
? global.utc_time

HOWEVER, only the global.utc_date works in the terminal key macros.

Putting global.utc_time in the macros is rejected. Also tried several of the time-related functions on it with similar rejections.

Thanks for the help,
73s, Don

Ok, are you saying that it won't let you enter
global.utc_time
as the expression in log/setup in the terminal keys tab?

I had no problem, and tested it and it worked on Telnet.

Here's the error I get in the form setup. It will still allow me to 'OK' and save the changes. When I hover over the particular T macro, the crashes.
