it would be nice to be able to "save" a filter (either as text in a notepad file, or within Logic), and at a later date either retrieve it, or cut/paste it. i am unable to do a windows cut/paste into a filter form window from a notepad text string.

as of now, i have to retype or recreate with qbe each time i want to reuse a filter. if there is a way, please advise.

thanks

Hi Buddy--

You can copy and paste into the Filter window. Enter your QBE paramteres, then click EDIT. You see the resulting expression. Hilight it with the mouse or type {Ctrl+A}. The press {Ctrl+C} to Copy the expression into the clipboard. Paste it into Notepad with {Ctrl+V}.

You can copy and paste from NotePad to LOGic the same way. Hilight the expression, {Ctrl+C}. Open the filter form in LOGic. Click Edit, then paste the expression back into LOGic with {Ctrl+V}.

Let me know if any questions.

Tnx & 73,
