I don't know if this is related to the recent 80 update or not.

I now have an issue when I connect to my usual telnet node, I get the following message:

*** Connected to: K1EU
Welcome to the K1EU AR-Cluster node Telnet port !
Please enter you call: ***WATCH: ***CONNECT

Invalid Call

I can't find how to disable "watch connect". I checked TOOLS > SETUP > MISC > Data Terminal

It cycles through twice and then I'm connected. It only happens on the K1EU node. I checked setup for K1EU:

Prompt: YOUR CALL:_
Response: MYCALL

This is the same setup for many nodes.

How do I disable watch connect?

Thank you,
Vin

No, not related to .80. If you want to turn it off, go to tools/setup/misc ham setup/misc ham setup/watch for. It is set up to alert you if someone connected to your TNC node (same feature goes thru telnet). There is help on this.

To disable, just clear the text from the Watch For field.

Tnx & 73, Merry Christmas,

Hi Dennis,

I went to "watch for" and "settings" and unchecked the "sound enabled" but I still get multiple "invalid calls" and many cycles before I actually connect to the node.

If you're around next week, I'll call you and have you log into my machine so you can see :)

Thanks,
Vin

Merry Christmas !

Sorry, I wasn't clear in my prior post (I ammended it). Just disabling the sound still generates Watch alerts. What you need to do is blank the Watch For field.

I'm around if you want to call.

Happy New Year/73,
