This error is caused by a corrupt note or address entry in LOGic, or the memo file missing entirely. When copying your log file, always copy both log.dbf and log.fpt (the memo file). They must travel as a pair!

If your log.fpt file is missing, download the attached log.fpt file, put in the appropriate place (usually C:\program files (x86)\logic\logdata. Then proceed as instructed below. Notes and addresses are stored in the memo file, so any notes or addresses will be lost. Once you get LOGic working, you may restore them from LOGic backup.

If your memo file log.fpt is not missing, but you are still getting this error, the attached utility (runonce_fixmemo.prg) will fix this by scanning every record, checking notes and addresses, and blanking the note or address if bad.

To use this utility, quit LOGic.

Make a backup. This error may prevent the LOGic backup facility from running, so just copy LOG.DBF and LOG.FPT which are located in the LOGDATA folder. Or just copy the whole LOGic folder (c:\program files (x86)\logic\ or (c:\program files\logic\).

Put the attached file in the UPDATES folder inside your LOGic install folder (c:\program files (x86)\logic\updates or c:\program files\logic\updates). Start LOGic.
File Attachment(s):
runonce_fixmemo.prg (1kb) downloaded 30 time(s).
Log.FPT (1kb) downloaded 18 time(s).
