Dennis,
Is it possible to filter spots to just look at the database for the current calendar year (>=01.01.13)? This would be handy for the CQ DX Marathon where the competition starts over each year.

Should be no problem.

Set up a subaward under DXCC in tools/advanced/log fields. Click the binocular button to locate the DXCC record. Add a subaward. The name could be MARATHON13. The expression would be

YEAR(QSO_DATE)=2013

Or use the filter and BETWEEN. It will come up with something more complicated but it will work.

Let me know if any questions.

Tnx & 73,

Thanks. This works great however the CQ DX Marathon does not require confirmations, simply that a person "worked" each country during a calendar year. Since there are no confirmations I am getting spots for all the entities I have already worked in addition to the new ones for the year. Is there some way in this subaward to just spot new entities not previously "worked"?

You could use the SPOT LEVEL setting in the Spot Log to report only if not worked, but that would affect EVERY award.

One could set up a contest -- probably just use a copy of ARRLDX -- and it will spot needed multipliers instead of actual DXCC neededs.
