I changed the arrangement of multiple displays and now LOGic runs and stays minimized, and I can't get the window 'restored'. When I click on the icon on the task bar, I get a message that says "logic is already running". Other applications open, minimize, restore, and close normally. When I use task manager to switch to the LOGic application, the same thing happens. I tried shutdown and reboot, and a 'clean' and I have tried pinning and un-pinning from the task bar, with no change. What else should I try?

Hi John:

Sorry for the problem.

Not sure what is going on. The message "LOGic is already running" makes it sound like you are trying to rerun LOGic rather than merely unminimize it. Does it say "LOGic is already running" when you first try to start it after rebooting???

Here is what I would try:

1. This is assuming Win 7: Right-click the task bar and select "Cascade Windows" I don't remember how to do this in Vista or XP, but check Help or search the web.

2. Go into the LOGic 9 install folder and delete the file FORM.INI This file remebers the positioning of all of the windows, and deleting it will reset everything. LOGic is by default stored in c:\program files (x86)\logic or c:\program files\logic. The .INI extension may not show depending on the Windows Explorer options you have selected.

Let us know.

Tnx &73,

Running on Windows 7 ultimate.
Cascade windows has no effect.
Deleting the form.ini file from the ../program files(x86)/LOGic/ folder has no effect.
The app is running because announcements from the spot log continue, but it is "stuck" in the minimized mode down on the task bar

Did a complete shutdown and reboot, and the app is open now. Not sure what happened, but not complaining.

All is not yet normal. I can't get the band map to come up now. World map is okay. Deleted form.inf and re-initialized, restarted, no joy. Cascading windows does not reveal it.

Strange--I don't know WHAT is going on. I gather rebooting does not fix the band map.

The position of the band map is in bandmap.config. To reset the position to default, edit it with Notepad and delete the lines hilighted below.

Are you using multiple monitors? We haven't had a problem with them unless the customer repositions the monitors, then some forms may be offscreen. But CASCADE fixes it.

I'm going on the assumption that it is offscreen somewhere. But maybe not. Does the Band Map icon show on the task bar? (Be sure to click the BAND button on the spot log to open it. Maybe it simply got closed?)

Lemme know!
