Recently, the tools/internet/Import FCC USA (K) Callbook stopped working.

To fix, click on the above menu. When the Import FCC Callbook window appears, click in the EDIT button. Enter this new URL (or copy and paste):
Quote:
ftp://wirelessftp.fcc.gov/pub/uls/complete/l_amat.zip

Windows Firewall may complain. Grant permission.

It won't show download progress, but be patient. It should download and then start processing.

Hi Dennis,

Kinda worked. Got a Program error "Object NETFILE is not found", I ignored, then got an operand error, which I also ignored, but it did download, process and say "Done".

Ok, that error message really means that the downloaded file was not found. For some reason the file failed to download the first time. A fix coming soon that will have a real error message, and will fix Univ of AR callbook.

Tnx & 73,

I am also having trouble with the FCC DB. I can manually download it and update but I get the following in the program using the same URL.

220-You are entering an Official United States Government System, which may be used

220-on this system may result in criminal prosecution. The Government may monitor

Hi--

Is this tools/internet/import FCC USA (K) CALLBOOK? It works fine here on 9.20.11. This is a new computer, and Windows Firewall asked permission. I said OK and it is fine now.

The web interfaces for FCC and UALR also work BTW.

We recently updated the FCC import. Check your LOGic version in help/about.

Here is the new URL. Click the DFLT button in tools/internet/import FCC USA (K) CALLBOOK to set this URL. If you forgot this step, the new LOGic will still use the old URL.

I am still having the problem. Using Logic 9.20.11. Updated my link to default as you suggested. I can click on the browser button and the file downloads fine. If I use the link in my browser, I can download just fine. However, when I hit the begin download button it fails for some reason. If I turn off my windows firewall and try it I get the same error.

Ok, I think the best thing to do is call me and I can log in and take a look.

I am still having the same problem. I completely uninstall Logic and reinstalled on the same computer and still had the problem. I then did an install of Logic on a different computer which has never had Logic on it to see if something is up with my shack computer. Still had the problem.

All computers have the latest Logic version.

Could there be a problem with the FTP command in logic. I am seeing that active (vs. passive mode) of ftp can create the ftp port error I am getting.

Thanks. Joe AF1E

Well, it works here. Using 9.21.1. I think it is using passive FTP, but I will have to confirm that.

Here are some things to try:

1. Go to a DOS command prompt. Type

ping wirelessftp.fcc.gov

You will get a timeout. But note the IP address. Is it an IPV4 address like 35.168.142.79, or is it a longer IPV6 address?

2. Can you download from ftp://wirelessftp.fcc.go...uls/complete/l_amat.zip in your browser?

3. Try turning off the Windows firewall.

Note that if # 2 works, you can import the file into LOGic. Copy l_amat.zip to c:\program files (x86)\logic\tmp
Click on the PROCESS tab in LOGic, and click PROCESS.

Let me know.

Happy new year,
