What is the ADIF "code" for the CW-OPS number. When doing CWT using N1MM+ it generates an internal ADIF name for the CW-OPS number which needs to be changed for LOGic to import it into my log.

Sorry, I can't answer your question. It is possible there is no official designator. The CW-OPS people would be the ones to ask, tho.

Note that you can map whatever you use in LOGic (CWOPS# is the default) to any ADIF name. Go to tools/setup/log fields. Navigate to the CWOPS# field. Under the ADIF tab, put whatever N1MM uses in ADIF NAME.

Dennis, can you set up something so that I can import CW-Ops numbers into my log from N1MM ADIF export?

What is the attached?

Ok, the screen shot you sent looks like the CWOPS# field in LOGic's log fields setup. This is the record you want to change.

Look in your N1MM ADIF file (it is a simple text file), and see what they use for CWOPS#. Enter that in the ADIF Name field (in the ADIF tab), in LOGic. It currently has CW OPS there. Be sure to checkmark Import.

Let me know if any questions.

N1MM uses 4 different ADIF fields in the CWOPS ADI file for Non-Member/Member Number exchange.

<APP_N1MM_EXCHANGE1:1> ----This is used for CWOPS numbers 1-9
<APP_N1MM_EXCHANGE1:2> ----This is used for CWOPS numbers 10-99
<APP_N1MM_EXCHANGE1:3> ----This is used for CWOPS numbers 100-999
<APP_N1MM_EXCHANGE1:4> ----This is used for CWOPS numbers 1000-9999

EX:
<APP_N1MM_EXCHANGE1:2>SC ----non-members send s/p/c
<APP_N1MM_EXCHANGE1:3>444
<APP_N1MM_EXCHANGE1:4>1385

Thanks Kyle!

Allen, enter

APP_N1MM_EXCHANGE1

in ADIF NAME in LOGic, and you will be set.

Thanks, guys.

I prefer not to rename the default LOGic name for CW OPS. The name used in N1MM may be used for other contest exchanges so it may insert bogus information into the database. Instead, I would rather rename the field in the ADI file from APP_N1MM_EXCHANGE1 to CWOPS# after each contest. I have done that successfully for other contests. However, I did try that and I thought it would work, but it did not. I have a user field in my logform "CWOPS#" which should show the CW OPS#, but upon further inspection, I noticed it is also named "FISTS". So, will it actually show the CW OPS# in that field?

Perhaps I am doing something wrong setting up user defined fields on my logform...?

Since I didn't get an response, I'll ask another way: Is there or is there not an ADIF designator that will import into LOGic and fill the CW OPS field that I created on my log form? I know there is one for 10-10 and probably for many other club numbers.

Hi Allen,

The CWOPS# userfield in LOGic has the ADIF Name "CW OPS" so if you rename APP_N1MM_EXCHANGE1 in the N1MM exported ADI file to "CW OPS" (no quotes) it should fill the CWOPS# field in LOGic when imported.

You can see the ADIF Name in LOGic by going to Tools/Setup/Log fields and navigating to field name CWOPS# and clicking on the ADIF tab.

Hope that works....stay safe !!

Thanks, Brad. I thought I tried that once, but it didn't seem to work. I will try it again today if I have a chance to participate.

You could take any text editor and mass-change all occurences of APP_N1MM_EXCHANGE1 to CWOPS# in the ADIF file, before importing. (assuming CWOPS# is also the ADIF NAME in LOGic.)

I figured out the problem. The Import checkbox was not checked on the ADIF tab of the Log Fields (Awards>Setup>User Defined Fields Setup). I also changed the ADIF name to CWOPS#. After doing the mass-change above, they all imported.

Thanks,
