indexing columns in browse form

I was able to figure out how to index my band, and comment columns on the browse form in logic 8 but i can't seem to figure out how to do it again in logic 9. there are no specific instruction in the manual about indexing a column on the browse form. I want an asterisk to appear on more than the date and call columns so i can sort and index other columns in the form. How do I accomplish this?

Go to tools/advanced/index setup info. Add a new record (+ button).

For FILE enter LOG
For INDEX TAG enter BAND
for INDEX EXPRESSION enter BAND

GO to tools/database maintenance and do a REINDEX

I was able to index band and dxcc columns using your directions but i am still unable to index my comment column.

right clicking the comment column i see "Comment_" as the name. and "logbook.comment" as the expression.

I click tools/advanced/indexsetup. I enter 'Log' and then 'comment_' in the tag. and i enter 'comment' in the expression but this does not work.

LEFT(COMMENT, 128)

for the expression. There is a maximum index value length.
