I started this thread as a followup of this:
http://www.hosenose.com/...f--fields-works-50.aspx
This has been determined to be caused by a corrupted WAB list on the customer's computer.

However, I am not sure what the WAB list provided with LOGic even is. There are numerous awards associated with WAB. So this thread is for me to keep notes and take comments.

There are among other things, Squares and Large Squares. You can get the squares submission sheet here:
http://wab.intermip.net/BookFinder%20Program.php
Click on WAB Squares Award then Claim Form. There are no descriptions with these lists.

There is a Large Squares claim form under Large Squares Award on the menu.

My plan is to get a Squares list, which can also be used to track Large Squares using LOGic's calculated fields.

Tnx to W4QNW for his help with this.

Stay tuned!

Here is a complete list of WAB squares. To install, go to tools/setup/list of valid values, and click IMPORT. Select WAB.DBF.

Restart LOGic or close and reopen the log form so the dropdown list is populated with the new values.

Now make sure that WAB is in tools/setup/log fields. The field name is WAB, type Character, Edit Using Lists Table is checkmarked. Width is 5. On the Awards Tracking and Spotting screen, make sure TRACK AWARDS FOR THIS FIELD is checkmarked.

Now click Awards/Update Awards Progress info.

There is a Squares and Large Squares award. This list is for the Squares award. The Large Squares award values are simply the letter part of the square. Check back for instructions on using LOGic's Calculated Fields to track Large Squares using this same list. Just track WAB Squares, and Large Squares will be tracked automatically.

Tnx & 73,

WAB Large Squares

Here is how to track WAB large squares with LOGic.

Large squares are merely the letter-portion of the WAB square.

Begin by downloading the WABLSQ list. Save it somewhere where you can find it, then import it into LOGic. Go to tools/Setup/List of Valid Values and click IMPORT. Import WABLSQ.DBF.

Go to tools/setup/log fields. Click the binoculars and enter WABLSQ for the field name. If it is not found, click + to add a new field. The field name is WABLSQ. Description is WAB Large Squares. Field type is CHARACTER. Width is 2. Checkmark EDIT USING LISTS TABLE. On the Awards Tracking and Spotting tab, checkmark TRACK AWARD FOR THIS FIELD. Copy the following expression and paste it into CALCLUATED FIELD EXPRESSION.

ICASE(ISDIGIT(SUBSTR(GETUSERFIELD("WAB:"),2,1)), LEFT(GETUSERFIELD("WAB:"),1), LEFT(GETUSERFIELD("WAB:"),2))

(to copy and paste, use standard procedure. Hilight the above expression by swiping the mouse over the whole line to hilight it. Type {Ctrl+C}. Put your cursor in the CALCULATED FIELD EXPRESSION field of LOGic, and type {Ctrl+V}.)

Click Awards/Update Awards Progress Info. WABLSQ is calculated from the WAB field. Close and reopen the log form, or restart LOGic.

You may now check your large squares progress by checking the WABLSQ award using any of LOGic's awards forms or reports. If you have logged any WAB squares, WABLSQ will show also.

Note that this award uses LOGic's calculated fields feature. It extracts the Large Square from the WAB field. Do not attempt to put a WABLSQ on your logging screen or explicitly log WABLSQ. Simply log WAB.

Some technical info:

The WABLSQ values list permits LOGic's awards tracking to report unworked large squares.

That expression checks to see if the second character of the WAB square is a digit. If it is, it gets the first character of WAB. Otherwise, it gets the first two characters of WAB.
