OK, I have installed FLDigi but there is a problem with transmitting, possibly in the setup. I have researched the on-line manual and changed as many settings as I can think of, but no help. The problem is in transmitting. Depending on the settings i have tried, it will only transmit a string of "H"'s or a string of "$"'s.

Here is my setup:

Rig: K3
Interface: microHAM micro KEYER II
Computer: Win 10
FLDigi: Latest version

The K3 is set to FSK in the DATA mode.

Rig control is set to 127.0.0.1 Addr 12345

Devices:
Capture Audio is set to Line (microHAM CODEC)
Playback Audio is set to Headset Earphone (microHAM CODEC)
Settings, Right Channel, Wav are set to defaults.

Modems/TTY is set to defaults

Receive works fine.
When I transmit, it keys the K3, but sends only a string of "H"'s or "$"'s.

Note that MMTTY works just fine.

What am I doing wrong?

Ok, sorry, can't answer your question. But here are the troubleshooting steps I followed trying to reproduce the problem (I can't).

Set FLDigi up for CW and audio out to your computer's main speakers. Type some text in FLDigi's transmit window and Transmit. You should hear the CW of course.

Run LOGic. Open LOGic's FLDigi window. Type something in LOGic, and press {Enter}. You should hear what you typed.

What mode are you using? I wonder if it isn't mode related.

There are videos all over YouTube on using FLDigi BTW.

Thanks, Dennis, but the problem is that FLDigi does not seem to be sending audio correctly to the microHAM interface. I was using macros in the FLDigi interface to try to send messages. I am hoping someone with more FLDigi experience (and with K3 even) could help me. I did get one personal message so far so I will try it later.

Thanks,

Ok, FLDigi shouldn't know that it is sending to Microham. It is going thru a Windows driver and sees only a sound card.

LOGic's macros (Terminal function keys) are fully integrated with FLDigi, so you could use that feature too.

Tnx & 73,

Dennis

I get audio out of the speakers, or head phone, depending on what I select. But it only sends "HHHHHHH..." to the interface, no matter what driver I choose.

I've tried to setup FLDigi 4 or 5 times and haven't been successful. I keep returning to DM780.

I'm using:

Yaesu FT-1000D
MicroHAM Digikeyer II interface
Windows 10
Latest version of FLDigi

I can't get the waterfall to read anything, it's all black, no signals coming through at all.

I can't get it to transmit either.

I'm leaning towards improper setting in MicroHAM but not 100% sure.
