For the past few months I have been having a problem with IE and Logic. It seems every time I open IE, Logic crashes. This doesn't happen with Chrome. Which is fine, but Logic uses IE for things like LoTW upload and downloads. As soon as that happens Logic crashes. Fortunately it crashes soon after the uploads and downloads are done, instead of during the process.
I have downloaded the latest update but still have the problem. If I have Logic running and open IE for anything, after a few minutes Logic crashes. ?

Thanks, Larry NU4B

Hi Larry:

I have never run into this before. What version of Windows and Internet Explorer do you have?

Same here -- that shouldn't be a problem. Does LOGic give an error message or anything?

Tnx/73,

Sorry, Dennis.
Don't know where I got Don from. Anyway, whoever you are BigGrin BigGrin (in my mind), the error message is: logic.exe has stopped working. And then windows does its thing looking for a fix.

I did notice this occurs right after IE is closed. Its seems to work OK while it is open.

I must have a problem here.

Thanks,

Larry NU4B

I get a second message sometimes: Microsoft Visual FoxPro quit working

Don't know if that helps.

BTW, this problem has just cropped up in the last couple of months or so. Previously it worked fine.

Thanks

I am having a similar problem. IE appears to be the default browser when I am trying to upload my QSO to LOTW. It logs in ok, but then I get a new tab page with the words in URL box "about.blank" page in browser and it just sits there, nothing happens again. When I exit the browser I get this message:
OLE error code 0x800706ba: RPC server is unavailable. In Logic 8
and OLE error code ox80010108: The object invoked has disconnected from its clients. In Logic 9

I have tried and gotten the problem with Logic 8 and Logic 9. All are current in updates. When I cancel Logic bombs out and closes. I have to clean up indexes to run Logic again. How can I fix this or us Safari or Chrome as my default browser?
