Dennis,

I downloaded and installed the "latest" update 58.exe. I had a problem during the install and received a message pertaining to reports: MoveFile failed; Code 5 access is denied. I tried it again, same thing so I aborted both times. Has this happened before.

Thanks, 73,

Hi Larry:

I don't recall running into this one before.

Have you installed updates successfully before? I would try a reboot.

Make sure you have admin privileges. It sounds like a permissions issue.

Let us know.

Thanks,

DH

Dennis,

I did a re-boot and the result was the same. I am the sys admin. This is my first update for Logic9 and it's really the first problem I've ever encountered going back to Logic7. I'm running Windows XP Service pack three. I am a bit suspicious of my Logic9 original install, there were a couple of things just didn't seem right although I've had no problems really. Should I do a re-install of Logic9.

You could try reinstalling on top of the current installation -- it is easy to do and doesn't require resetting-up anything. Don't uninstall first. Just reinstall on top of what's there.

As I said before, make sure you have admin privileges. Also, try temporarily disabling any antivirus stuff.
