Dennis, when, if ever, should the "pack" command be executed?

When you delete a lot of QSOs or other records such as lists of valid values.

When you delete a record in LOGic. The space it occupied is not freed up. However, the log file is different in that deleted QSO space will it will be recycled when you add new QSOs.

It never hurts to pack. But these days, if you are wasting a few thousand records space somewhere, you probably won't miss it hihi.

Tnx & 73,

I was trying to update the the Clublog s check box for entries and I tried the following as a test and got a "clublog_sent variable not found" and "clublog_s variable not found" for the following commands.

replace clublog_sent with .F. for QSO_DATE>={^2025-02-10}
replace clublog_s with .F. for QSO_DATE>={^2025-02-10}

I based this on a previous post for doing the same with LoTW sent.

Any help would be appreciated.

Jim, you'll likely get a quicker response if you make this a new thread.
