It uses your lat lon from the station info form and then for your QSO partner its based on prefix, so a gross calculation, but accuracy is much better if you enter their State or better yet Grid. I guess in most instances having a 4 character Grid entered would be better, 6 character better yet. Brad, K8ZM PS: Also in the Help on Info Form
