Does MixW 4 create an ADIF file in real-time as you log? If so, find out where it stores this file. Click the SELECT button in Auto ADIF LOGGING, locate the ADIF file, and double-click it.

Some troubleshooting steps are to look at the MixW ADIF file after logging a QSO to make sure it is getting added to the ADIF file.

The old MixW did not create an ADIF file in real-time that I am aware of. It used a DDE interface. You can try that. In the Log menu, click MIXW INTERFACE.

Dennis,

I was looking into MixW4 and they store the log file as a .db3. I asked them if they could also create an ADIF file at the same time since they already have that capability built in. But they basically said no. If you want and ADIF file then you have to generate it via their log tools.

So would it be possible for LOGic to monitor the .db3 file like it does the ADIF files and when it detects a change be able to insert that entry into LOGic? Don't know how difficult it might be though.

Thanks,

Fred

LOGic used to work with MixW. Do they still have the DDE interface in Version 4?

Is the .DB3 file a MySQL file?

Dennis,

They don't appear to have the DDE interface anymore. I searched their documentation and didn't see any mention of it.

I'm not an expert with exactly what I need to ask them about. I don't want to phrase it incorrectly.

So could you send me the specific question(s) regarding the DDE interface and .db3 being a MySQL file?

Thanks,

Fred

Hi--

Just ask them if they still support the DDE interface. And ask them if the .db3 is a SQLite database. Also if they have any other way to interface a logging program to MixW, and if so, please send you the specs.

Thanks & 73,

Dennis

Dennis,

While we are waiting for a response I do have db3 file that you can look at to see if it is in the format you are looking for. Probably should have attached it to my original post.

Let me know if it is what you are looking for.

Thanks,

Fred

Also in the files types allowed *.dbf is listed twice.
File Attachment(s):
MixW4 db3 log file.zip (47kb) downloaded 40 time(s).

Dennis, did you ever look at this? According to the file Fred posted, this appears to be an SQLite file. Will this work?
