I noticed today during the 160m Phone Contest that stations spotted with lsb are still being identified as CW. I think the Spot Log should ID them as Phone. Agree?

Thanks,

Allen,
That mode tag comes from the band table. That has the traditional parts of 160 tagged as CW, USB, or LSB. Seems that is not followed all that much these days. I can work anywhere in the band on CW though I may not get anyone to reply. There are a lot of non-US stations that will work split transmitting just outside the US band (though legal for them). When I first started with LOGic, I recall adding entries dividing the bands (2-160) into smaller sections.

The point I am trying to make is if the mode is shown in the comments (i.e. LSB, USB, SSB, etc) it should show up as PHONE in the mode column, same as when the comment is FT8 it shows up as DATA in the mode column. Wouldn't that make sense?
