Hello,

I have the current version of LOGic 9. When I spot a DX station that is not on one of the clusters, I would like to send out my spot so others can see it on DX Summit or DXSCAPE.

I have been out of ham radio for the past 10 years, so I have much to learn about the digital technology used in conjunction with ham radio. In this case, I have no idea how to do this, and I can't find any discussion of the topic in the manual. Do I need to buy another piece of equipment? What I would really appreciate is a baby-step by baby-step procedure for doing this.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Wayne:

There is a little spot button in the DX Summit or DX Scape window that is supposed to send spots. However, it is difficult to keep working -- the sites are not set up for programmatic spot submission. The easiest way is to simply post from the web browser -- either the one in LOGic's window or open a real browser. http://www.dxsummit.fi/SendSpot.aspx

Another option would be to post to a Telnet cluster that feeds DX Telnet or DX Scape using LOGic's Spot button. Unfortunately I am not knowledgeable about where they get their data. Perhaps someone else can jump in here.

Tnx &73,

DH
