I have added GRID MINE. What I want is to add the GRID SQUARE of the Station Worked to the log entry form for the MINI log. Also, I want to be able to track grid square for awards. I've been poking around for an hour and can't find any way to add the field to MINI, and I don't understand how to add the ability to track grid squares for awards.

TIA,

Hi Hasan:

Thanks for your note.

LOGic is pretty much set up to track CQ Zones, FFMA, and CQ field. Go to tools/setup/log fields. Check CQZ, FFMA, and CQFIELD to make sure they are enabled (Field Info tab) and that awards tracking is turned on (Awards Tracking... tab).

There is not really any specific info for CQZ tracking because it tracks CQZ just like any other award. Log it and it does it. FFMA and CQ Field is handled internally a bit differently. If you are curious, go to Help, click the Search tab, and enter FFMA.

In order to add the CQZ field to the log form, it is added just like any other field. Look in Help under Log Form Basics/User defined fields.

Also this video:

Let me know if any questions.

Tnx for using LOGic.

Thanks Dennis, when I go to tools/setup/log fields, it shows a 1010 field. When I choose the Show All User Defined fields button, it shows me 11 fields, none are the one I want which is GRID SQUARE or just GRID. GRID MINE is there, but not GRID (for the other station, so I can't enter a station's grid in the log).

When I have time after the 6m contest, I'll look at the videos and see if I can figure it out. It ought to be a simple thing to take an existing log form, like MINI, and edit it to accept GRID (of other station), but it just isn't obvious to me. I should have done this long before the contest! I'll be in touch and thanks again. 73, Hasan, N0AN

Correct. That is the first record (alphabetically) in this screen. You need to navigate to the fields in question. It works exactly like the log form. Click the binoculars button and type in the field name, or just page up and down in the browse window.

You mean the button that says "List all user-defined fields used in log"? This shows only user-defined fields that are actually in use -- in other words have at least QSO with data logged for them. Not something you need in this case.

Let me know if any questions.

Tnx & 73,
