Hi all. I rebuilt my 3Ghz desktop with an SSD and Windows 7 x32. Things are fast and LOGic 9.0.72 works great. HamScope 1.56 by itself works but does not seem to be able to talk to LOGic. This all used to work under Windows XP. (I've tried swapping back in the XP hard disk and it works.)

I've tried 'HamScope 1' form as well as the 'Log It' button. No luck.

This all used to work.

Any thoughts?

Thanks & 73s

Don, W2ZI

ADDED:

I've read lots of old posts and tried a few of suggestions including logicserver /regserver
from an elevated prompt. None helped.

Has anyone (with it broken) gotten it to work (and what you did?
Did you give up and move to another program?

Thanks.

Don,

Not sure if you got anything back on this, if not, here goes;

I had issues with Hamscope awhile ago. Note that it hasn't been "updated" for years and support is non-existent, its not representative of all the digital modes currently available either. Having said all that, it does work.

I'm running windows 8.1, have Hamscope and LOGic running concurrently. The hamscope window(s) work from within LOGic v.9.0.72.

In my Hamscope, General Setup: Under Rig Control, I have COM Port set to the correct com port for my Radio (Com 3) and Radio set to LOGic 6, with Rig Baud set to my rigs baud rate (9600), then, I have Log Program set to LOGic 7.

Usually, I launch LOGic first, then open the Hamscope window, then launch Hamscope. In Hamscope, a mouse click on Rig Control brings up that window and it should be reading the frequency of your rig...seemingly in sync with LOGic.

If you did get something going, please ignore this reply.

Regards,

Brad, N8GLS

Brad,
Thanks for the reply. I've tried your suggestion but no joy. I have a Ten-Tec Omni VII. The COM port is locked at
57600,N,8,1 and HamScope will only go to 56000 (strange speed). That seems a dead end though I do have a message out
to Te-Tec (now RKR Designs) for a fix.

In any case it should have been able to "speak" as far as the data windows and the "Log It" button. These did work
in Windows XP but not in Windows 7.

Perhaps Dennis will have a flash of insight.

Thanks & 73's, Don

Hi Dennis,
have You tried to consider to interface Airlink Express, by KR1ST, which works very very fine in both RTTY that PSK 31,63,125,250? Take a look.

Does it have an interface to external programs. FLDigi is open-source. However, I wish it was written in .net, which it isn't.

Tnx/73,

DH
