I installed Logic 9,then downloaded the latest update file. Logic 9 started and I filled in the
User Info. I opened six windows....I did NOT set up any interface to radio, rotator, cw keyer, etc
I copied my Logic 9 Log file from another Windows 7 PC and used "restore" to bring that log
to the new PC. All looked well.
The problem: When I close Logic 9 on the new PC and then run it again "as administrator"
the windows start to appear on the screen and then I receive the message
OLE error code 0x800a139b: Unknown Com status code. I have tried this many times and
it always acts the same. Running the program without administrator privileges produces
the same results. At this point the only way to get Logic 9 to do anything is to uninstall it
and re-install it. Then it seems to run as above...one time only.
I am stuck. Any ideas? Thanks for reading and 73 de Joe.

Hi--

Sorry for the problem. This isn't one we run into very often. See here:

Is this a new install on a new computer? What version of Windows?

Tnx & 73,

Hi--

Sorry for the delay on this.

I posted the wrong link in my previous post. I fixed it, so check that out.

I would start by turning off User Account Control.

If you install it, make no changes, exit, then run it again, do you get the error? Do you have to uninstall then reinstall to "fix" it, or does reinstalling on top of the old install "fix" it?

We can get together via phone this evening or tomorrow afternoon. I could log in and take a look.

Tnx,

DH
