Hi Dennis,

Is the CW Keyer programming backed up along with the log when a backup is done?

If not can you give me the name of the file and the path to the file so I can make a copy of the CW Keyer programming file for a backup.

I have invested many many hours in programming the keyer and I'd hate to loose it if something happened.

Nope.

The CW keyer function keys are stored in the log forms, which are in logdata\logforms.

We recommend backing up the whole LOGic folder. That way you are covered.

Hi Dennis,

Thank you for the reply.

I did back up my entire Logic folder.

I can not find the individual file containing the CW keyer function keys. When I go to ProgramFiles/Logic/logdata/logforms as you suggested I find all of the logforms along with a few files with cabrillo in the file name but I can't identify a file that has the keyer function keys programming stored in it.

Can you give me the name of that file?

Hello Bill,
if I understand your request, you can find the settings of your memory keyer directly into the main logform.
1) Click LOG in the main logform
2) A window Log form setup, Click on CW Keyer func keys
3) You can change memories at your leisure
4) You can recall memories with their numbers in the toolbar called "C"

I hope I've hit the problem.

Hi Mauro,

You hit the problem right on almost.

My problem is I have long entries programmed in the memories. I've even used the link feature in one case.

My goals are twofold.

I need the file name so I can back it up and restore it at my convenience.

I also would like to be able to print that portion of the file, if it is in ASCII, that has the programming. Right now there is no convenient way to document what is in the memories when the entry is very long. If I am able to do that I will reprogram all of the memories and put them in better order. Mine have sort of grown over time and therefore they are not well organized (similar functions grouped together).

Hi Bill,

to save your data you must copy the logdata\logforms folder.
There are no external files where the data are registerd.
They are included in the file.logform.
You can see all the Func keys variables opening the interested file.logform as a text file, after copy to secutity hi.
In effect the file.logform is an .ini with extention changed to setup the form.
I hope to not make a mistake ... Dennis wants to forgive me (hi) and I hope I have answered your question.

Right--

And you can copy and paste the function keys from one file to another using Notepad -- say of you use the same keys in a different log form.
