Hi Dennis. I know I posted something about this before, but I can't find it. Logic does not parse a couple common ways that the split freq is noted in the comment field of a spot. Here are a couple:

QSX 7007
QSX 7.007
QSX 7013 QSX up
59---up 5

Interesting that "qsx 21020.68" and "qsx 18072.0 via rz3ec" work fine. But "qsx 14267.0 sa-040 up 7" sets the rig at 14.267.90 for some reason.

Just fyi, I have found that TRX MGR does a good job of parsing the comment field.

Improved spot comment parsing would be a great update to the program because so many DX stations work split these days.

Thanks,

Sorry, but I am not getting the results you are. The first two and most common work.

QSX 7007 WORKS
QSX 7.007 WORKS
QSX 7013 QSX up DOESN'T WORK
59---up 5 DOESN'T WORK 59-- up 5 works

It is doing the UP 7 and adding 7 to the operating frequency which is apparently 14260.9. Garbage in garbage out...

Anyway, thanks for bringing it up. I'll see what I can do.

Tnx & 73,

Is the result from parsing a function of the type of rig? I have a K3 and an IC7800. I could try the same thing on the 7800 if it would be beneficial.

No, the parsing all happens in the spot log itself. It will parse even in no rig is connected. You can enter test spots and look at the results in the FREQ & FREQ TX columns.
