Hello Dennis,
I noticed that in some QSO records is present into qslrdate and qslsdate fields impossible date as you can see from the attached screenshot without update the received qsl response. I deleted the data, but despite having recorded the change as came back in the specific record reappears the strange date. I went to check inside the DBF files, but this date is not on archive. I do not know how to delete this data, because also creates problems with the filters in the Qsl printing. Is there any other store where access to these data? I do not know how long I have this problem, but surely a short time.
Thanks

Hello Dennis,
Do you remember when I told you of the dates very strange fields qslsdate-qslrdate?
I think I found the correspondence details that make the problem happen.
Investigated fields are STX and SRX.
If the database records start with STX two digits, nothing happens.
If instead it is composed of three digits and in particular with the sequence 19X - 29X - 39X ... 99X and four digits 191x ... 199X, QSLRDATE date takes an impossible date type 06/03/0000 as you can see in the screenshot attached.
The same thing happens for the variable SRX with the field QSLSDATE.
The absurd thing that I have never found the absurd date within the entire database. Would seem to be only for display.
This problem does not occur if the variables STX and SRX are within the record. Important that they are not at the beginning.
Can be useful for this information to verify the operation of the program?
Take this opportunity to express to you and your family my most sincere wishes for a Merry Christmas and Happy new year.

So sorry, I totally overlooked this post. Thanks for bumping it. I try to answer the forum before email to encourage people to use it, but me overlooking old posts doesn't help. So feel free to call, email, or send me a private message.

I don't see anything wrong with the user-defined data. But I can reproduce the problem here easily. That's half the battle hihi. I will fix it.

To delete user-defined fields that you don't want, go to tools/advanced/database commands. Type

USE LOG

REPLACE USERFIELDS WITH TAG_EDIT(USERFIELDS, "CNTY QSO:", "") FOR .T.

BTW, I didn't have to figure out the REPLACE expression. I just used the menus Database Files/Mass Change/Replace User-defined Field Contents. The problem with this is that fields that you want to delete that are not on tools/setup/log fields do not appear on this menu. So I just used CNTY QSO, then change CNTY QSO to what I really want to delete.

Also BTW, LOGic no longer imports fields that are not defined in tools/setup/log fields, or does not have ADIF IMPORT checkmarked. Older versions used to import all available ADIF data, but it got to be a problem as programs used more and more fields.

Tnx & 73,

Dennis WN4AZY

I think I understand, but how well do you know with advanced database commands, if you are not sure, you can do massive damage in the archive.
For this reason I ask you to be more precise about the command, USE LOG to delete the imported data not relevant and are not used by Logic.
I'll attach a screenshot of a QSO where during import of a contest, the Writelog program has included with a file. ADI, occupying many characters in the database.
I ask you to tell me what I have to type to delete, safely, |APP_WRITELOG_COUNTRY:........| or APP_WRITELOG_CM or APP_WRITELOG_PREF or APP_WRITELOG_DGTL in any record of my archive.
Thank you. 73's de IKØCHU

Hi--

I fixed the problem with the user-defined dates. Would appreciate testing for me.

Please unzip the attached file and put padlib.fll in the LOGic install folder (usually c:\program files (x86)\logic), replacing the existing file.

Let me know.

Tnx & 73,

Hello Dennis,
I did the tests you asked me on my desktop that has XP sp3 and this is the result:
With the new DLL - I run the program and stops after opening the MainForm giving me an error (screenshot108). Clicking ignore the program continues execution and opens the browser window and It stops again and if I click on ignore terminates execution and remains in standby (screenshot109). As soon as I click on the browser filter always returns the same error. I continue by clicking ignore button and tried the Qso scrolling in the MainForm using the arrows but the program still stops. I have to close the program. The same thing happens with the laptop using the w7.
I hope I have been of help.

Ok, sorry. Which user-defined field is #15? Also, how is your date format set (DD-MM-YY, MM/DD/YY ...) I need to try to reproduce it here.

Attached is the old FLL for easy revert.

Hello Dennis,
User-defined field #15 should be YL flag. Here is a screenshot110 to be sure.
The date format set in my computer is DD/MM/YYYY.
I never delete the old FLL file and after my test I changed the new with the old one.
Thanks IKØCHU Mauro

Hello Dennis,
Fantastic goal!! The incorrect dates are now gone.
Thank you for your willingness to solve the problems of all of us.
Let me know if there will be news for interfacing the MasterKeyer and how to delete massively data imported from Writelog and N1MM that do not need to logic.

Hello Dennis,
I tried to use the command you gave me to delete unnecessary data to logic.
I realized that the same command must be given to many times how many variables are in the record. Right?
To avoid problems, now I'm doing this on my laptop which is installed a copy of my logic.
I think it solved this problem also. I'll let you know. Thank you.

FB on the dates. Thanks!

Correct. My example in Post #4 deletes all occurances of CNTY QSO. If you want to do say
APP_WRITELOG_COUNTRY: then you have to do the command again.

Tnx & 73,
