While running in the CQWW WPX contest this weekend I had the Progress 2 window set for Prefix multipliers. I thought it would show multipler status for the callsign entered in the log window "before logging" but it showed nothing. I thought this worked like the Info window where entering a callsign in the call field (before logging) would show Info details for the prefix entered.

Shouldnt Progress 2 show multiplier status ?

Hi Brad....the contesting instructions make no mention of the progress window(s) being used for anything contest related that I can see. It does talk about mults in the help file, though.

Hi Doug,

If you look at the Progress 1 or 2 form windows, to the very right is an icon SEL, click on that and you see Award and Subaward, in Subaward is (Multiplier), this is briefly mentioned under Contesting in Help "Multipliers are checked just like awards progress. Select the field you wish to track, and select (multiplier) for the subaward." I never used this much for years but believe it did work. Dennis will have to refresh us BigGrin .

Sorry guys, been away.

I could find no problems with Multiplier indication in Progress 1 or 2.

Here are some things to check.

*As already mentioned, make sure to click SEL and turn on the (Multiplier) subaward.

*Verify the contest start and end dates in Log/Setup

*Verify the MULTIPLIERS tab. It is filled in properly from the factory, but make sure Field is PFX, and the Expression is TAG_VAL("PFX:",USERFIELDS),
and VALUE is 1.

Go to the Contesting dropdown and select CLEAR/RESCORE CONTEST. Rescore WPX.

Note that the progress 1 window will only show the status in the Mixed Band Mixed mode cell in the top-left corner of the grid. This is because the multipliers for this contest is not per band or per mode.

Ok, so, everything checks ok. Thinking back I could have been expecting the band column to populate and as it was blank didnt pay attention to the mixed mode upper left cell. I'll pay more attention next time !!
