I restrict QSL activity to DXCC purposes due to is broad recognition. I have tried e-QSL with considerable frustration and also find the QRZ.com logging system trying.

Recently I have been receiving more and more emailed QSL cards, generally produced by QSL creation software available free from PA4R. To me they are of no use but purely to reciprocate and make the senders happy, is there a way for us to obtain the specific data from our LOGic database and bring it across to the PA4R package to produce a "pretty" electronic card that can be emailed.

Input of log data to this is offered in three ways, ADIF directly, HRD logging or N1MM Logging. Or do we already have a facility to do this ourselves, perhaps like the simple QSL card we can produce in the report sector that we already have? I did fiddle with that a long time ago but, for paper QSL cards these days, I use our LOGic report printing facility to easily print the data on the back of cards bought from UX5UO in Ukraine. I am unaware of how yo divert this for email use.
By far, the great majority of my QSLing is via LoTW.

Any suggestion please?

LOGic can export the data in ADIF format for you.

Tools>Export log data>ADIF, XML.....

See if that works.

I just modernized LOGic's emailing capability, so I can contact him and see what I need to do to LOGic.... Although I guess he does the emailing.

Here is the note I sent him:

Dear Ron:

We had a customer request that our LOGic logging software (http://www.hosenose.com) have better support for your Digital QSL Creator. Right now we have to create an ADIF file to pass to QSL Creator.

Please advise how I can programmatically send a request to QSL Creator. I am using .Net Framework, and can use COM objects.

Tnx & 73,

My reply to him:

Hi Ronald:

Thanks for getting back to me. I am looking forward to your upgrade.

Here is another idea: Programs such as WSJT-X (as well as LOGic) write every QSO to an ADIF file in real-time. Perhaps Digital QSL could monitor that file and generate QSLs accordingly. Doing that would add support for several new programs instantly. I would be happy to share my C# .net code that monitors the ADIF file and triggers an event when an entry is added.

Tnx & 73,

Dennis Hevener
