Did you perform a back-up AFTER the changes to QSL S and R were made ?? If no "new" back-up was done after any changes then a restore from back-up would not include them.

OK, I'm not following why you are doing a backup or restore. It's great to have a backup of course, and restoring if you need to.

Are you just testing the restore? Note that APPEND or REPLACE is an option of RESTORE, not BACKUP.

I guess I misunderstood your original post. What is supposed to "self-correct?" As I said in my first post, tools/update awards progress syncs the progress reporting and displays with the QSL Rcvd data that is currently in the log. This is normally kept in sync automatically as you log, but there are a number of things such as importing data that will cause it to get out of sync.

QSL Sent has nothing to do with awards progress, BTW.

Let me know.

thx Dennis....

recap

I want to correct the qs s/r boxes to reflect mistakes
but when i delete a S or R box it does not reflect the change
in an awards update.

i thought id try to do a "RESTORE" then CLICKING "REPLACE LOG DATA"
which by definition would piock up changes i made ,,,,it does not recognize my changes

you mention SYNC
and a {number of things} etc etc

SO, WHAT CAN I DO TO TELL LOgic TO RECOGNIZE MY QSL S/R CHANGES

Ok, got you. Changing QSL Rcvd from Fulfilled to blank is one of those cases where progress is not updated. There could be another QSO for the same DXCC or whatever would still count.

Tools/Awards/Update Awards Progress Info will correct this.

Try it and let me know.

Tnx & 73,
