Hi Dennis,

AO1ICE needs to be added to the prefix table for the Antarctic Spain.

Normally I just add those type of calls to the prefix table. In the case of AO1ICE I looked and there are many entries by country for the Antarctic but none of them is for Antarctic Spain. I have no idea where to get the information to add a whole new entry to the Prefix table.

Can you help supply the information I would need or tell me where to find it?

Bill

Hi Bill:

The best source of help for the prefix table is to just click the Help button in the prefix form.

Also here http://hosenose.com/Foru...sian-prefixes-easy.aspx

The important thing is that you do not need to add every oddball callsign to the Prefix table. Just manually log CE9 in the DXCC field.

That said, it is of course preferable to have it in the prefix table. We are releasing the newest prefix table with the LOGic updates, so I will do it so it will get into the system. If you have any additional info on the name of the base, lat/lon, etc. please let me know.

Tnx & 73,

Hi Dennis,

You can go to QRZ.com to read more about the base. Click on the Detail Tab and their lat/lon is there.

Thanks for your help,

Bill

Sorry, that lat/lon is way wrong.

Hi Dennis,

I disagree when you say that every call with a new prefix does not need to be added to the prefix table. If you only work the station once you are, of course, correct. I find that I work most of those stations more than one time. For me knowing what country they count for is one of the biggest advantages of using Logic.

Just a different thought on the subject.

I don't have access to a better lat/lon so I guess we will be adding this one by changing the country on the main log form!

Well no argument that it is nice to have. And I DID add it in the last update. I just added it to the default CE9 record which has lat -90 and lon 0 or whatever.

Tnx & 73,
