I try to never start a conversation with an apology, but I might have to this time.
I've searched the 1449 error code issues and none seem to address the issue I'm having.
There was a time I could have TRX Manager and Logic 9 work harmoniously. For some reason they no longer do.
My problem is I cannot get into Tools/Setup/Misc too figure things out without getting the 1449 Ole Dispatch error code. Trying to go beyond that shuts the program down and ignoring will re-start it. Forgive the blasphemy, but HRD works flawlessly. Problem is there is no better logger than Logic. I am a visual person and LOVE saving QSO related photos, amongst many other reasons.
Windows 11, more than enough power and CPU in the machine. Logic 10, latest version.

Please help and -73- John, KB2COP

It sounds like I am the one that needs to apologize?

To get into Tools/setup/Misc, you can edit or delete the config file. In PDA.INI is the COMServerEnabled setting. I think this is new to LOGic 10. If set to NO, it will not load the TRX-Manager interface driver. Frees up memory etc. for people who do not have TRX-Manager. Make sure it is set to Yes as shown below:

[Default Directories]
GenericImport=\\Pdanas\tmp\
Select ADIF log file=\\Pdanas\tmp\
Export=\\Pdanas\tmp
[Settings]
NoWebCallbookLookup=No
QRZCOMWebBrowser=No
COMServerEnabled=Yes
[LPTBandSwitch2]
BetweenBandsValue=-1
[LPTBandSwitch]
BetweenBandsValue=-1
[Internet]
ProxyPort=80

Radio9.ini includes the setup for the radios. You can delete it altogether to clear all radio settings, or delete the section that is questionable.

Is there any other info in the 1449 error display?

Tnx for using LOGic.

I apologize as I believe I mislead you in my previous post. I did check the .ini file and it is as you said it should be. The following are the screens that appear when I select Tools/Setup/Misc.ham, rig, TNC and select YES when asked:

X – Error 1429 “OLE IDispatch exception code from mscorlib:
Failed to compare two elements in the array…”has occurred
In program
LOGIC_SETUP.LOAD, line 30.
Attempt to continue?

YES NO

When I click on YES this is the result:

Error 1426 “OLE error code 0x80040154: Class not registered,”
Has occurred in program
_73F18ZBJP, line 1865,
Attempt to continue?

YES NO

Error 1924 “X is not an object, “ has occurred in program
_73F18ZBJP, line 1866.
Attempt to continue?

YES NO

Additionally, when I start TRX-Manager, I get a No Logic Server found notification.

Again, Mea culpa from beautiful snow covered Wilmington, NC

Thanks for the additional info. It tells me where to look.

Question: Do you get an error if you go to Tools/Advanced/Com Port Status or forms/WinKeyer?

What does Tools/Advanced/Com Port Status show? You can text a screen shot to the number on the hosenose.com home page or email it to me.

I am suspecting something funny with an RS-232 port. Try unplugging all USB-RS232 adapters and see if the error persists.

Let me know.

Tnx & 73,

Dennis,

I had difficulty sending the screen shots to the auto-email from the Forum so I used the Support Email as listed on the Hosenose website. Regardless, I hope these help.

I got the emailed screen shots. Thanks.

Yeah, it's as I suspected, there is a problem with a USB=>RS232 adapter or a virtual COM port such as COM0COM. Start by unplugging any USB=>RS232 adapters and see of the problem goes away.

Here are other discussions with customers who had the same problem:

Let me know.

Tnx/73,

Dennis, you are my hero!!

I removed all of the com0com ports in Device Manager and it immediately resolved my problem with the error message. Now to re-integrate TRX-Manager
(I know, I'm a dinosaur who came to Logic via DXBase!).

Thank you Sir!!
