Before I get into more trouble I have to ask
for help about importing a cabrillo log.

It was late, I was tired and tried to import
a 1000 qso contest log from N1mm, but,

Dont ask how I lost the actual log but I did
and cannot recover it. Thankfully, I have
the cabrillo file.

To save me over 1000 entries manually into
my LOgic ver.10 If it can be imported I cant
find the way.

I NEED HELP PLEASE

here is a pic of the cabrillo

If all else fails your contacts can be found in the .TRN files.

\Documents\N1MM Logger+\Databases\TransactionLogFiles\

Taken from N1MM page: https://n1mmwp.hamdocs.c...ed/operating-a-contest/

Transaction TRN Files – During normal operation N1MM Logger+ saves the information about each QSO in a simple text file. These files are stored in a sub-folder in the Databases folder in the user files
area and can be used to recover in the event the database file is corrupted.

Here’s an explanation of how you can use those files to recover your data quickly, during a contest, or at your leisure if you haven’t done one of the two steps suggested above:

The transaction log is created for each contest you log to.
The file is closed after each transaction and reopened to force the data to be written to disk.
To keep things simple and foolproof, you are not allowed to change the name of the transaction log.

The name is used to make sure you are loading it properly, and to prevent mixing logs of two contests. Example name: ‘CQWWCW – 2005-09-19 – 14.TRN’ i.e.: Contest name – date log created – an internal index number

To Recover your log, you MUST import the transaction log into a NEW (empty) database and a NEW contest log.
The new contest log must be the same contest as the contest from the transaction file (Example: if restoring CQWPXCW, the new contest must also be CQWPXCW). Why? To prevent a user recovering from a database problem making the problem worse. This will prevent any issues from duplicate contacts and a number of other problems
As you load the transaction log, a new transaction log is automatically made with the transactions in the first log. Thus you should never have to merge logs. You always use the last one.

Hopes this helps,

There are many Cabrillo to ADIF converters that may work. I have no suggestion to which one to try. YMMV

Thanks guys but my question remains unanswered.

I LOST ALL FILES (TRANSITION ETC) FROM N1MM
In the root file none of my previous logs are shown.

I DO HAVE A COMPLETE CABRILLO LOG !!
OF CLOSE TO 1000 ENTRIES.

my question again is
how can i import the contents of the Cabrillo file to LOgic this file to merge with my existing large dbase. yes, it is backed up.

I DONT want to do 1000 entries manually !!!
but ive already started...maybe be cqww in November ill be done maybe

The TRN files would not be found in Root but the directory listed above.

If your unable to recover what was lost from N1MM, here is a link to a widely used application called ADIF Master that will take a Cabrillo file and convert it into an ADIF file, http://www.dxshell.com/adif-master.html .
After the ADIF file is created from ADIF Master, open the ADIF file in notepad (or other text editor) and insure any tags match what is in LOGic. Being a Cabrillo exported file, there probably wont be much more than the absolute basic QSO data so plan on doing some additional editing, either in the ADIF file or in LOGic after you import, although, it might be easier to edit the ADIF file first for any missing data and to insure the syntax is correct. You may want to do an ADIF export from LOGic for a short date range and that sample file will give you something to compare the converted file against.

Obviously recovering from the TRN files would be the best solution. Good luck and let us know what goes on !!

Another option is to use LOGic's generic importer. See help. A dedicated Cabrillo=>ADIF converter will probably be easier, though.

Tnx & 73,
