Hello All,

Happy New Year !

I've been playing around with FT8 and FT4 lately and I was wondering if there is a way to to only capture 4 digits for time on/off (HH:MM)?

I did unlock my logging screen, right clicked on the time and played with the MAX WIDTH (set to 8 now). When I tried to set it to 4, I could still see the colon for the seconds.

Is there a setting within LOGic to only log HH:MM rather than HH:MM:SS ? If this option does not exists, could it be added as an option in a future update?

Thank you,
Vin, 73

Hi Vin:

Hope you are having a great new year too! Sorry for the delay on this.

When manually entering time or importing data, the seconds may be omitted. However, there is no way to turn logging of seconds off when it is logged from the clock or from WSJT-X etc.

I can give you a command to remove them. Why is it advantageous to omit the seconds?

Tnx/73,

Hi Dennis,

There is no advantage to log HH:MM over HH:MM:SS.

I was bored, bands were lousy, weather was lousy so I was playing in LOGic and was looking if there was an option to have the user select either HH:MM:SS or HH:MM.

It's all good BigGrin

Thank you,
Vin, 73
