Hi--

We had two or three other reports of this error. This fixed it for the first guy reporting it.

Download and run the VFP OLEDB provider and the VFP Entity Framework Provider.

http://distribution.hosenose.com/public/

Look for
VFPOLEDBSetup.msi
VfpEntityFrameworkProvider.msi

Not sure what the problem is -- it is definitely on the distribution. Let me know if you run into any problems running the VFPEntityFrameworkProvider.

Thanks,

Dennis

Computers all said that was already installed here too. Went to Cnt Panel/Add remove Programs and uninstalled... Then ran the one you provided. Still the same errors on Logic9. Crashes after index rebuild.

Installing it before or after installing the update should make no difference.

I also added another necessary component to my first post of this thread (VFPOLEDB). Perhaps that isn't getting installed. It does not show up in Programs and Features BTW.

You can also try installing them As Administrator.

I modified the install program to show a dialog upon completion. It also explicitly installs them AS ADMINISTRATOR. It should have been installing everything as administrator anyway, however. Anyway, I would try reinstalling using the new installer first.

Let me know.

Installed both .msi files. No luck. Couldn't install as admin since the compatibility privilege settings are grayed out. Reinstalled the .80 update with admin and still the same.

Uninstalled Logic9 and reinstalled 9.0.72, reloaded saved log stuff and com ... Now back running again with orig version. Will wait and see what happens.

I found a machine here locally that I could reproduce the problem on. Win 7, 32-bit. Working on it now. Stay tuned!

Ok, I think we're good now. I got it to run on the old computer, and was able to reproduce the conditions and fix it on my dev machine. I even ran it without Admin privileges and with User Account Control full-on.

So give this a try:

Tnx & 73,
