I know you are working on interfacing to FT8 programs, and I am aware that they keep throwing you curves. In the meantime, it would make life easier for importing adif files if we had options for doing so, such as date limited, duplicate limited, etc. I currently have to do the remove duplicates routine, which always worries me because of the possibility of corrupting the log file, plus it is another time consuming step.

You probably have a valid reason for not providing those options (I know NOTHING about programming!), but if it could be done without too much work, it would be helpful. If not now, maybe sometime in the future.

I have tried most logging programs that are available, but LOGic is still the best on the market.

Thanks,

Jess,
Until a better option is available you can always cut and paste from the ADIF file only the contacts you want to upload into another file. Then upload that file reducing the amount of dupes. Kind of cumbersome but maybe takes less time than running remove dupes.

Another option is just to import the whole ADIF file, then do tools/misc utilities/delete duplicate QSO.

Won't be too long for the WJST-X interface.

Tnx & 73,

Thanks for the responses. Kyle, I wasn't aware that I could cut and paste from adif files - will give it a try!

Dennis, that is what I was doing - just trying to find an easier and quicker way. Good luck with the FT-8 project. We all appreciate the hard work you do to keep LOGic on the top of the heap!

Thanks again.

Jess
