Dennis, I'm trying to set this up so that I can have a separate database that will hold only 2016 contact info, making it easier to track dxcc info for the DX Marathon without having to configure the report every time. I have created a new directory within the logic directory named 2016, and have copied the logdata folder there. On my shortcut, the target line reads "C:\Program Files (x86)\LOGic\LOGic.exe" LOGIC DATA=c:\Program Files (x86)\LOGic\2016\logdata.

This fails every time, not recognizing the logic data path. Where am I going wrong?

Doug,
I'm running 9.0.86 installed in 'D:\Program Files (x86)\LOGic'.
Log data is (normally) in a sub-folder called 'logdata'. I created a copy
of that folder called 'logdata-2'. logdata2016 in your case.

Create a copy of the regular shortcut with the Target:
"D:\Program Files (x86)\LOGic\LOGic.exe" INSTANCE=Copy2 DATA=.\logdata-2
change as needed

Note the Start in field is still: "D:\Program Files (x86)\LOGic"
again, change as needed

When first run, it will rebuild the indices (like a clean).

You can also make a separate copy of the reports folder and change the Target to:
"D:\Program Files (x86)\LOGic\LOGic.exe" INSTANCE=Copy2 DATA=.\logdata-2 REPORT=.\report-2

Good luck.

Don W2ZI
