Hi Dennis,

While listening for the DX Operation on Clipperton Is today - the calculation for TX Freq for the spot results in a corrupted frequency. If one attempts to "Set Rig" to the spot, an error dialogue results - as one would expect.

Clicking Ignore allows Logic to continue. The rig RX freq was set correctly.

I am using Logic 9.0.53.

Hi--

Sorry, I cannot reproduce that here.

I am wondering if it is decimal format? But you guys use a period like us, right? That's what the screen shot shows.

Try some test spots similar to what I have done and see if you get different results. Perhaps the test spot feature is not a good test for some reason.

Thanks,

Dennis

.. I wonder what happend to the image I put in the post. Here it is again ..

Bad calc

It is a snap of the spot log - "as it happened", so to speak.

But, you are correct. I tried the test spot, and that functioned correctly. I tried 3.5, and 3,5 both seem to now function.

Clearly there is some other side affect at work here.

I do not remember if I tried the test spot last time. I think I might has simply accepted what was in front of my eyes - the image above of the spot log.

Ok, it is treating the "2.9" as an actual frequency in mhz. But where is it getting the "014.0329 part from"?

Where is the spot coming from -- Telnet or DX Summit? I would like to see the actual spot from Telnet or the web browser.

Is Clipperton still active?

DH

G'Day,

I think we should go on to other things - I have no records left of the incident.

The spot came from a Telnet link to CC-USER of VE7CC, running on another PC on my network, connected to VE7CC-1. But, the data is long gone. I have no records of it now. Sorry about that. I should have kept more information of the incident.

Clipperton Is closed down about 24 hours ago.
