New user here -

Has anyone set up LOGic for the CQ Marathon contest? Unlike other contests, it's for each calendar year and your score is the number of different countries and zones you work during the entire year.

http://www.dxmarathon.com/

Ideally LOGic would start January 1 and highlight in the Spot Log any countries or zones not worked so far this calendar year. It would also tally your running count in a report for final submission.

It may be already there, but I have not found it.

Ok, there are two ways to go about this.

You could set up an actual contest. However, the SubAward feature would be super-easy. And with a contest, you would be running in contest mode all the time, which isn't a problem except when you are running an actual contest, then the Marathon tracking wouldn't work. You can only run one contest at a time.

So I recommend SubAwards.

Go to DXCC in tools/setup/Log fields....

Locate the DXCC field. Create a new SubAward as shown. (I didn't have to know how to do that select criteria expression. I clicked on the Filter button, and filled out the form using BETWEEN on QSO_DATE).

Do the same for CQZ.

Let me know if any questions.

Tnx for using LOGic & Happy New Year!

Dennis -

The SubAward route works perfectly! The picture made setup very easy.

Thanks for the quick help.
