Hello.
I would like to prepare a CD of the QRZ call book database so that my Logic 9 software will be able to read it when I am working portable, (no internet access)
I am registered to QRZ.COM and have ability to download the QRZ database.
How shall I convert the file and what file shall i download from QRZ.COM that Logic 9 will be able to read it?

Hi--

Please tell me where the URL to download the database is. I will download it and take a look.

Stay safe over there!

Ok, I just have a regular subscription and it won't let me download the "CD". You need an additional $50/year to do that.

Anyway, there is a link on
http://www.qrz.com/download/ to http://www.qrz.com/page/qrztech.html I am thinking just burn the files to a CD or put them all in a folder on your hard disk and use LOGic's QRZ CD ROM interface, you should be good.

Let us know.

Tnx/73,

Ok, here's what to do:

Make a folder named CALLBK in the root of your hard drive. I used D: but I bet any would work.

Download qrz_cbc_xxxxxx.zip from http://www.qrz.com/download. Unzip it into the CALLBK folder. You should have callbkc.dat, callbck.idx, and country.dat in your CALLBK folder.

Enable QRZ CD ROM (click the SETUP button in the Callbook form).

Enjoy!

Dennis
