Dennis, is it possible to assign CAT commands to function keys? I have a Kenwood TS-590S, and I would like to be able to toggle between the 2 vfo's for working split while chasing DX/contesting. If possible, I don't want to use the mouse to do this. My keyboard keys are MUCH larger and more convenient than the tiny buttons on the radio are. Thanks! 73 Doug W5GA 73 Doug W5GA

Hi Doug:
I suppose that the function keys in the data terminal COULD be used for this, IF the VFO swap could be accomplished by sending a simple ASCII string. But I don't think LOGic will let you assign the same port to a terminal and a rig. So while the function keys would work, the radio interface probably would not.
VFO selection is something that LOGic normally supports. What rig do you have?
Tnx & 73,

Hi Dennis, the rig is a Kenwood TS-590S. I have attached the Kenwood command set manual. Also...I use a Microham Microkeyer. Their software uses virtual com ports.
