Hi Ron, hope you are well !!

I believe RAC changes were effective Jan 01 2023, MAR was abolished, effectively replaced by new sections New Brunswick (NB) and Nova Scotia (NS). Greater Toronto Area (GTA) was renamed Ontario Golden Horseshoe (GH). Northern Territories (NT) was renamed Territories.

To make the changes just navigate to Tools/Setup/Lists of Valid Values then under "Navigate to list" double-click on ARRL SECT. That will bring the ARRL/RAC Section List up and you can edit as needed. I need to do this as well for Sweepstakes coming up in a couple weeks. I'm leaving MAR, GTA and NT as is but marking them all as DELETED, then create NB and NS and lastly just copy GTA and NT and rename as GH and TER. I think the old Sections need to still live in the Lists of Valid Values to handle any previously logged QSO's that have an "old" section populated in the ARRL SECT logfield. Dennis may have been planning on another update to handle the RAC changes, if not he may at least chime in to advise if we need to keep the old RAC sections in the Lists of Valid Values.

AB---Alberta
BC---British Columbia

NL---Newfoundland and Labrador
NS---Nova Scotia (was included in MAR, Maritime)
ONE--Ontario East

ONS--Ontario South
PE---Prince Edward Island

TER--Territories (was NT, Northern Territories)

In effect RAC added one new section for a total of 14. For ARRL Sweepstakes the total ARRL/RAC Sections is now 85 (it was 84).

Funny, the "nervousness" never seems to entirely go away at the start of any contest !!

I'm no Big Gun but I do enjoy working the ARRL and CQ sponsored ones. All SSB, someday I'll find my old J-38 key and give the CW category a run.

I've never used anything other than LOGic for contesting, its performed very well for me and I like not having to learn another logger and export then import into LOGic. I always run unassisted so don't need a lot of bells and whistles that most dedicated contest loggers have. Of course we all have our favorites....hihi !!
