Under a new licensing law - VP0S"X" or VP0S"XX" Callsigns are now being
released for operations on the South Sandwich Island group - the
S indicating South Sandwich and "X" from A-Z, though its likely that
any SGSSI amateur license maybe valid for both South Georgia and South
Sandwich regions - this should be resolved in license updates soon

I also am licenced as VP0 GB (South Georgia), VP8SB (Falkland Islands),
and currently VP8SB for Antarctic operations but this too will be
converted to VP0 format in the future. I also assist with the management
of the VP8ADE 28MHz beacon on Adelaide island, Antarctica installed and
operational since 1979 or so.
