There is no need to install previous updates.
What does this update include?
Below is a log of version releases and what was added or changed. There
is no information available for some builds, as they usually include only
cosmetic changes, minor feature changes or bug fixes requested by an individual
that do not affect most users.
7.0.155 (Sept 14, 2005)
•Fixed problem with CNTY HA and CNTY HB showing up in the US
CNTY awards progress.
7.0.142 (Jun 05, 2005)
•Rotor control head may now be placed In Windows Desktop. Fixed problem of
rotor control head always receiving focus when switching from another
application to LOGic.
•Fixed problem with filtering on user-defined fields that you have set to
accept lower-case input. Case is ignored when searching, so you don't have to
worry about it when entering the search value.
7.0.141 (Apr 18, 2005)
•Changed LoTW upload to accommodate changes made by the ARRL to their web
site.
7.0.139 (Mar 10, 2005)
•Fixed DATA TYPE MISMATCH error in ADIF export.
7.0.138 (Mar 2, 2005)
• Fix to accommodate changes made by QRZ to their callbook database online
subscription. LOGic will crash if you attempt to access the QRZ subscription
service without this update.
• Import GERATOL membership list from the web.
• Fixed bug that caused fields to sometimes change position after creating
your own log form layout. Unlocking the form layout now causes the form to
revert to the factory-default font. This is normal..
7.0.135 (Feb 9, 2005)
•Fixed problem setting Ten-Tec Orion -- problem probably existed only on
very fast computers..
•Now copies Name from membership list.
•Do not export Serial# TX for NAQP Cabrillo. Not required for NAQP,
but if you logged STX anyway, the log got rejected. So now, if no SRX is logged,
LOGic won't export STX either. Don't know why the ARRL can't just ignore this
column if they don't want it.
•Added Cabrillo support for ARRRL & CQ VHF contests. Be sure to
download the ARRL VHF SWEEPSTAKES log form from the FTP site. Cabrillo
export files now contain a copy of the template from the Cabrillo web site for
easier reading by humans.
•AWARDS report now gives priority to paper QSL cards over Logbook of The
World QSLs when both exist. This saves money when submitting cards.
The AWARDS report now indicates entities that have a LoTW QSL only. Be
sure to also download the new AWARDS report from the FTP site.
7.0.129 (Dec 20, 2004)
•Spot log no longer overwrites old records upon filling up. Spots may
now be automatically deleted based on age. Using the old method, we
occasionally got reports of the wrong spots being overwritten. We could
never reproduce this. Regardless, the new method will definitely not
overwrite spots, and greatly simplifies the code. The old method was great
back in the early 90's when disk space was at a premium. But now that disk
space is practically free....
•New delete button on spot log to delete a single spot.
•New Packet & Telnet Keep Alive feature permits resetting the Keep
Alive timer when data is received. This feature is sometimes referred to
as Smart Keep Alive.
•Support for new report for printing mailing labels for multi-QSO QSL
labels or cards. Prints only one address label per call. This update
does not include the actual report. Download it separately from the FTP
site.
•Updated help file now available. It is not included in the
update. Download here
and put it the LOGic7 folder.
•Support for ARS
antenna rotor interface. In LOGic's setup, choose any COM port to enable the
interface. ARS does not actually use the port, so you may choose any port, even
one that is in use. The ARSWIN program must be running.
•Fixed problem with keyer causing telnet auto-login to fail.
7.0.126 (Nov 12, 2004)
•Auto login for Telnet. Although sophisticated scripting is available
if needed, most hosts can be set up by filling out a few fields. A
database of about 275 hosts is included. The Help file has not been updated to
reflect this great new feature. Use the touch help--it's all pretty simple
except for scripting. To see an examples of scripting, filter for
non-empty SCRIPT fields.
•Right-click the Output or Capture buttons in the Data Terminal or Telnet
windows to clear the Output or Capture fields.
•Filter functionality (the ability to search records on any criteria) has
been added to the Radio Memory form.
•Parsing of IOTA and QSX improved. Improved parsing of time posted for
PacketCluster spots.
•Fixed bug introduced in version .123 where DX Summit would download every
minute regardless of timer setting.
7.0.123 (Sept 21, 2004)
• Spotting of grid squares. If a spot contains the customary grid
square annotation (grid of station being spotted followed by the grid of the
station posting the spot), the spot log will show the status for the grid. To
check the status for other bands and modes, look at Forms/Progress 1 or Progress
2.
Grid spotting is automatically enabled for 6 Meters and up. If you
don't want grid square spotting, turn it off in the Band Table.
When posting a spot from a QSO with a grid square logged, grid info will be
automatically added to the comment area.
• Support for Alpha-Spid
rotor.
• Support for Ten-Tec Argonaut 5 radio. The processor on this rig is
very slow. We have not been able to get remote tuning with the mouse or
buttons to work satisfactorily. However, setting to a memory channel or
spot works, as does reading info from the rig. Tnx to AB4RL for lending us
his rig.
•New QSO_MINUTES() function returns QSO length in minutes. Useful for
FISTS and other rag-chewers'-type awards. An example of usage: Go to
the Filter form, and click EDIT. Enter
QSO_MINUTES()>=30
Click the Filter button. All QSOs of 30 minutes or longer will be
displayed. This expression may be used anywhere, including the report writer or
Subawards tracking.
•Bug fixes: French Union callbook web lookup would hang when looking up
a non-existent call (apparently caused by a change to their site). Errors
when setting rotor to long path from DX Calculator. Some rotors would not
work at all from the DX Calculator. DXSCAPE cluster would hang (apparently
caused by a change to their site).
7.0.111 (July 15, 2004)
• Fixed error "object keyobj not found" when using serial port for voice
keyer.
• New batch update tool in tools/advanced/database commands makes mass-change
of user-defined fields easy. Click Datbase Files/Mass Change/Replace user-defined field contents. Select the field you wish to replace
from the dropdown list. Enter the new value and select criteria as always.
You may use the variable OLDVAL to represent the existing user-defined field
value in the replacement expression or select criteria. Suppose that you
want to change the Antenna user-defined field. You want to change all
occurances of BEAM to YAGI. You don't want to change anything but
BEAM. Here is how: Select ANT from the dropdown list. Enter "YAGI"
for the Replacement Value. Enter OLDVALUE="BEAM" for Replace
Only If. ANT="BEAM" will not work.
• Tools/advnced/database commands batch update tools have a new option to generate the database command without.executing
it. The command is placed in the command window with a * before it. This
is a good way to learn command syntax, or permits further editing before
executing the command. Just make your changes, remove the * from the beginning of the line, and press
{Enter}.
7.0.107 (Jun 17, 2004)
7.0.49 (Mar 14, 2004)
• Stop button for rotor added to spot log form.
• Fixed bug importing and exporting LoTW Sent and LotW Rcvd in ADIF.
(This problem did not affect the ARRL LoTW interface),
• Fixed bug that caused MISSING EXPRESSION error if the Log Membership
Data if setting is blank in tools/setup/log fields.
7.0.46 (Mar 1, 2004)
• New feature downloads Israeli callbook (tools/internet)
7.0.42 (Feb 20, 2004)
• New feature downloads Norwegian callbook.(tools/internet)
• New field in LoTW export to allow specification of which Operator to
export.
• Added LoTW Sent and Received to Previous QSOs window.
• Fixed problem with CW speed self-calibrate.
7.0.40 (Feb 5, 2004)
• Bugs fixed: Polling radio 4 generated error. Callbook batch
update logging VE Prov in State field. Spot log not saving SHOW ALL state when
closing form or deleting all entries. ADIF export of baisc fields only not
exporting selected user-defined fields. "Variable NO not found" error
in spot log.
7.0.38 (Jan 19, 2004)
• Update Amateur Radio Amateur Lighthouse Society membership list from the
internet.
• Can change Foreground Color of the main LOGic application window.
• Fixed error with French callbook lookup. Fixed missing help links.
Callbook copy to clipboard feature now formats consistently with
first-name-first where possible. Fixed error when attempting to auto-resize grid
columns with no data present. Fixed problem with keyer and terminal function key
buttons in the keyer and terminal windows not properly inserting log data
(was OK from log screen).
