Data communications

LOGic 5 features an excellent data terminal that operates packet, RTTY, AMTOR, CW, or any other text communications mode supported by any TNC or multimode controller.

Ten programmable function keys can transmit all characters, including control characters, and any variable information from the log, such as contest exchange, name, signal report, etc.

For packet transmission, use LOGic 5's Transmit Packet mode. It provides full editing of a line before transmission, with a scrollable redo buffer. For RTTY, AMTOR, and other character-oriented modes, use LOGic 5's Transmit Words window. This window transmits the last word every time you press the {Space} bar, and allows correction of typos with the {Backspace} key. If you type faster than data is being transmitted, typeahead buffering is provided. The received data window also functions as a full-screen terminal.

Up to two controllers may be operated simultaneously.
