G'Day Dennis,

The deletion of non-factory indexes from "Index Setup Info" has probably been happening for some time, probably forever.

But, I have only recently created my own INDEXes for the Log form browse windows and the Spot log browse window, and they were removed by update 9.0.61.

Recently, I also added several of my own tables and indexes to the index list, so that my indexes would be recreated after CLEAN - until 9.0.61 was installed.

Is it possible for you to implement the code you used for "user entries" in the prefix table, to preserve the non-factory entries in the INDEX table?

At the moment, the "recreation process" is manageable, there being only a few entries. But the future will have many more for the browse windows and for my tables and indexes.

My priority: Medium

Let me look at the update process -- it must be including the indexinfo.dbf file and overwriting the old one. I see no need to include it for updates.

You can always keep a copy of it. I will document this further.

Tnx & 73,

Thanks Dennis.

Yes, I used my backup copy after the update. Checking for differences, if any, between the two is the hard part.
