Dennis, since going to the subscription service, every single update has failed at the point where it installs the SlimDX runtime. To get the update to work properly I have to uninstall the runtime prior to running the update. Thoughts? 73 Doug W5GA 73 Doug W5GA

Sorry, I haven't run into that. When it fails, does it give you an error message? Can you ignore? It doesn't need to install SlimDX every time. It just does so in case there is a problem with it.
Tnx & 73,

Dennis, here's the error message it generates. Yes, I can ignore it - and sometimes all is well, sometimes not. When not, Logic will experience a crash a few minutes after starting. 73 Doug W5GA 73 Doug W5GA

Ok, I found this: https://answers.microsof...-479b-bae7-532ecd8a26bb
Basically they recommend running a fixer, booting clean to see if there is any startup program (such as a virus checker) that could be interfereing, and unregistering and reregistering the Windows installer. Let me know. Tnx & 73, Dennis WN4AZY
