Hi Jim:

Did the error occur after installing an update? Give me a little background.

Exactly what does the first error message after starting LOGic say?

Tnx & 73,

I have been getting the OLE error for some time. When I first load Logic 9.65, I get an error that LogicServer has not loaded. Eventually I get to another error - OLE - that says the LogicServer has failed and then the program continues and appears to work as it should.
These OLE errors have occurred for quite some time.
My errors are in Windows 7 - latest updates.

Hi Edd:

You can eliminate the LOGic server altogether in most cases. Go to the LOGic install folder, (C:\program files (x86)\logic in most cases, and delete logicserver.exe, or rename it to logicserver.exx.

It is used by the TRX-Manager interface. If you don't have TRX-Manager, then you don't need it. If you need it, I can help you manually register it or whatever it takes to resolve the issue.

Thanks Dennis! That fixed the OLE and Logicserver error messages and speeded up loading quite a bit.
Please give me the instructions for registering LogicServer because I have TRX Manager and may reload it onto this computer to use.
Thanks for your help.

Hi--

Ok, put a copy of logicserver.exe in the LOGic install folder. C:\program files (x86)\LOGic for example. A copy is attached in case you deleted yours instead of renaming it.

Run the DOS command prompt. Type CMD in the Windows search box.

CD into the LOGIC install folder (C:\program files (x86)\LOGic for instance):

C:
CD \program files (x86)\LOGic

forexample. If that does't work, try

C:
CD \program files\LOGic

Now, type

LOGICSERVER /REGSERVER

That should do it.

Make sure you are logged in using the same user that runs LOGic. This typically isn't an issue, if you don't follow what I mean it probably isn't an issue hihi.

Let me know.
