Didn't get a response from a developer at PDA so let me ask the question again:

When I try to do Internet>Set Time To NIST> Set Now the LOGic 9 gives me a NISTTIME Error 232 nisttime.winsock.Error.0

Same thing happens at startup.

And, when I try to connect on Telnet it doesn't try to connect and it tells me that it can't set the system clock.

There's nothing wrong with my network connection - all other applications that use the Internet, including DX-Telnet, work fine.

I tried disabling Set clock to NIST at startup and Telnet still doesn't start.

So, despite everyone pointing fingers at me, the problem appears to be in the 9.0.65 version of code as it didn't happen in 9.0.61.

Can a developer at PDA please advise.

G'Day,

I thought we were trying to help in a timely manner. I'm disappointed that you think anyone is "pointing fingers".

The LOGic forum, is exactly that - a forum. Your questions are simply questions to the "forum". Anyone can answer, and attempt assistance.

You may like to check a few more things to bring more certainty to your concern that LOGic 9.0.65 is at fault. The "developer" will want to know answers to these question too. So far, none of the rest of us, who updated to 9.0.65, has experienced your problem - you are currently unique.

To try to help, all of us are working in the dark more than you might think ...

Which version of Windows are you using?

When did any use of the NTP time protocol last work in LOGic? ... with other programs on your PC that want to sync the time?

Specifically, what changed since that point?

Your Internet connection (the .winsock library) is a complex thing ... whose "Firewall" are you using, and is port 123 - the time protocol port - open or closed? To check that port ...

Is windows successfully adjusting the time? See Control Panel, Date and Time, Internet?

Does any other tool that uses the Internet Time protocol function correctly? Dimension4, Nettime - lots of others.

If you "down grade" back to LOGic 9.0.61 - does the error still occur?

If you skipped LOGic .62 .63 .64, it might be a constructive idea to downgrade back to .61, and apply each update in turn, and retest.
